MONTREAL<\/span>, <\/span>May 30, 2019<\/span>\u00a0 – Brivia Group<\/strong><\/a> is proud to present the first architectural drawings of a major real estate project planned for the area surrounding Phillips Square<\/strong> in downtown <\/span>Montreal<\/span>. There will be three phases to the project, which will include a 61-storey residential tower that is 220 metres above sea level. The first phase represents an investment of about <\/span>$400 million<\/span>, and the completed project could cost <\/span>$1 billion<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The first tower will comprise more than 500 residential units, with an upscale hotel to be added to the project at a later date. This is Brivia Group<\/strong>‘s fifth major project in Montreal<\/span>, along with YUL Condominium<\/a><\/strong> and QuinzeCent<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Brivia Group<\/strong>‘s project will be built between Place Phillips and Saint Alexandre streets, in the block bordered by Sainte Catherine Street<\/span> and Ren\u00e9 L\u00e9vesque Boulevard. The site is currently used as a parking lot.<\/p>\n

This huge project will play a role in revitalizing this sector of downtown Montreal<\/span> by welcoming 789 new residents, thereby contributing to the development of nearby businesses and redevelopment efforts on Sainte Catherine Street. This site is an important crossroads between the business district, Montreal’s<\/span> shopping district, McGill University<\/span><\/strong><\/a> and Place des Festivals<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

A varied clientele will be attracted by the growing number of major residential projects in this part of Montreal<\/span>. Brivia Group<\/strong> believes that future residents will be professionals who want to live closer to where they work, active retirees who want to trade their single-family home for a spacious condo, new Canadians who want to make their home downtown and international buyers. Phillips Square<\/strong> offers a unique look at the history of Montreal<\/span>. In addition to immersing future residents in one of the most vibrant shopping districts in North America<\/span>, Brivia Group<\/strong>‘s project restores a residential component to Phillips Square<\/strong>, in a nod to its history. It was a lively residential neighbourhood in the 19th century before it was transformed into a shopping destination.
